Hard baitfish profile with a flat square bill built to deflect off brush instead of burying the way a rounded bill often does. This one is finished in Sunfish on a Squarebill body.

How to fish it

  • Cast and reel — it's a search bait. Hit cover on purpose and let the bill bounce free.
  • Keep it moving; reaction strikes often come on the deflection.
  • Slow down only after you get a pattern or a follow.

When it shines

Shallow cover days — wood, docks, and messy banks. Match color to water: clear leans light, muddy leans dark.

  • Direct tie — no snap swivel (kills action). Fluorocarbon is a solid default; braid in heavy cover.
