When it shines

Short square lip for wood, rocks, and dock posts in the top few feet. Built to ricochet, not snag.

On the water

Burn it into cover and keep reeling. Contact is the point — the deflection often triggers the strike.

Built by anglers who know what works

Hard baitfish profile with a flat square bill built to deflect off brush instead of hanging the way a rounded bill often does. Shallower crank for wood, docks, and messy banks. Copper Craw leans early-season craw forage when bass are keyed on that look.

How to fish it

  • Cast and reel — it's a search bait. Hit cover on purpose and let the bill bounce free.
  • Keep it moving; reaction strikes often come on the deflection.
  • Slow down only after you get a pattern or a follow.

When it shines

Shallow cover days and pre-spawn through spring when craw is on the menu. Copper/craw tones suit stained water and that early-season forage match; go lighter if the water is clear and they're on shad.

Tackle notes

  • Direct tie — no snap swivel (kills action). Fluorocarbon default.
  • Line diameter changes how hard the bill digs: lighter line usually means freer wobble.

Hand-painted blank by Jeff & Ray for cover you can bounce, not bury in.
