Shipping
Yes. Free standard shipping on all orders over $75 within the contiguous United States. Orders under $75 ship at our standard rate shown at checkout.
Most orders leave Henrietta, TX within 1–2 business days. Standard delivery is typically 5–7 business days; express options (when offered at checkout) are usually 2–3 business days after shipment.
We currently focus on shipping within the US. If you need an international order, use the contact form and Jeff and Ray will tell you what is possible.
Products
Yes — every lure is hand painted or poured and built by hand in small batches by Jeff and Ray in Henrietta, TX. They are not mass-injection “commodity” baits.
JR Lures are built primarily for bass and crappie, but they catch plenty of other fish too. Check each product page for depth, retrieve, and when that body shines.
Start with the free Lure Finder (/pages/lure-finder): answer lake vs pond and clear vs muddy water, then use Jeff’s 13 rules of the water, color guidance, and body-style notes. Product pages add “How to fish / When it shines / Tackle notes.”
A versatile swimbait or a simple crank that covers the depth you fish most is a strong first buy. Use the Lure Finder beginner picks and “how to fish” notes on each product — then match color to water clarity (natural in clear, brighter in muddy).
Often yes for special requests. Use Contact (/pages/contact) or the custom-request path from product pages and describe the body, color, and quantity. Jeff and Ray reply when they can take the build.
Store & pickup
JR Lures is handcrafted in Henrietta, Texas and sold at Clay Co Depot, 421 US Highway 287, Henrietta, TX 76365. Online orders ship from the same hometown operation.
Local pickup may be available depending on stock and timing. Call Clay Co Depot at (940) 538-4949 or use the contact form to arrange pickup before you check out, so we can confirm the baits are ready.
Clay Co Depot (where you can find JR Lures in person): Tuesday–Friday 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, closed Sunday and Monday. Hours can change on holidays — call (940) 538-4949 if you are driving in.
Returns
We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for unused items in original packaging. Contact us first so we can send return instructions. Custom or made-to-order pieces may be final sale — we will say so before you buy.
Photograph the package and the lure, then contact us within a few days of delivery. We will replace or refund damaged items that left our shop in good condition and were hurt in transit.
