When it shines

Bladed swim jig with optional skirt and trailer. Covers water like a near-topwater when fished shallow — Jeff pours heads on the bench.

On the water

Reel until the blade loads, then burn or slow-roll depending on depth. Bump grass and wood; the vibration calls fish in.

Built by anglers who know what works

A bladed swim jig — hex blade up front that chatters through the water so you can cover ground fast. Built with a living silicone skirt, finished in Golden Shad.

How to fish it

  • Cast and reel — let the blade load and chatter. Burn it to find fish, or slow-roll when they want it slower.
  • Fish it shallow like a near-topwater search bait when bass are high; dig a little over grass, wood, and edges.
  • If you get big boils but no hookup, throw a couple more in the same spot. Still nothing — switch to a slower topwater (walker or frog) that stays in the zone longer.

When it shines

Best when you need to cover water — points, flats, grass lines, and pond edges. Match color to water: clear leans light, muddy leans dark.

Tackle notes

  • Direct tie — no snap swivel (kills action). Fluorocarbon is a solid default; braid through heavy grass.
  • Presentation: skirted · finish Golden Shad.

Jeff pours these heads on the bench and builds them ready to fish — not just to sit in a box.
