Stand Up Jig Head

The Stand Up Jig Head features a flat or rounded lead bottom that keeps the hook pointing straight up when it hits bottom. This "stand up" design holds your soft plastic trailer (worm, creature bait, or crawdad) upright in the water column - perfectly positioned right in front of bass, exactly where they can't resist it.

Pro Tips

• Ned rig ready: Thread a small 1-1.5" piece of soft plastic onto this jig head and you've got one of the most effective presentations in modern bass fishing. Fish it right in front of bass around docks, fallen logs, rock piles, and timber - even fish that aren't biting will eat a Ned rig. It's like putting a steak in front of someone who says they're not hungry.
• The stand-up design shines on rock, gravel, and hard bottoms (lakes). In ponds with soft, muddy bottoms, fish it just off the bottom rather than dragging it - let it hover where bass can see it.
• Slow drag, hop, or just let it sit and shake - the standing presentation is irresistible to sluggish bass. When the bite is tough, this is your go-to.
• Pair with creature baits, worms, or crawdad imitations. Dark colors for murky water, light and translucent for clear water. Purple/blue with sparkles, greens, and blacks are all proven colors.
• Use braid mainline with a 10-foot fluorocarbon leader - braid gives you sensitivity to feel every bump, and the fluoro leader is invisible to fish.
